Get ready for some posts, ya’ll, I am playing catch-up on the blog! I’m going to start out with my most recent shoot and work backwards a bit. So first things first – last week’s maternity shoot with the R Family! I love spending time with these people and it’s an added bonus to get to photograph them (aren’t they beautiful?). Plus we had some really fun light to work with and we made the most of it – the vibrant colors of front-lighting, stark silhouettes of backlighting, and balanced tones of dear ole shade. Enjoy!

H Family Portraits
Last weekend I met the H Family at Hermann Park for a morning family session. I knew that they have five children and that grandma and grandpa would also be joining us. Now, of course, the number of people was not a problem… but it did make me think that we would only end up with a few usable photos. More people means more variability, especially with so many children in the mix. But this family just defied all my expectations. Our shoot was fun and easy and left us with A LOT of sweet photos. Really a delightful morning. Thanks H Family!
Baby Barrett has arrived!
I’ve been in newborn heaven this month. Baby Barrett’s mama is an old friend and it was SO fun to see her doing her mommy thing. This family is precious ya’ll. Please make note of Barrett’s friends: his Terrible Towel (for mama’s team), his badger (for daddy’s team) and his turtle (a sweet gift from grandma). That’s what I call socialization 🙂 Enjoy the pics!
L Family Newborns
Well clearly life has gotten in the way of my photo posting. In my world, it should never take this long to post totally adorable newborn pics. And yes, there are still bluebonnet photos yet to come – stay tuned!
This shoot was just a delight. The L family’s oldest boy has already wowed me a couple of times with his posing abilities. It was no surprise then that he was able to sit sweetly with his brand new brother who, for his part, slept like a champ through the whole ordeal. Thank you for welcoming me into your home during this sweet transitional time, L Family!
P Family Mini Session
Well this shoot was fun – I got to photograph three generations of women in the P Family. Aren’t they gorgeous? Feast your eyes…
M Family Bluebonnet Mini
Next up in our bluebonnet lineup – the M Family! Not gonna lie, I had a lot of fun with these kiddos. Big sister wanted to play in our lovely flower field and gave me some fantastic candid moments. And little brother’s eyes matched the bluebonnets – need I say more?
V Family Newborns
The V Family has welcomed their second baby (little girl G) to the world! I always love newborn photo shoots but this little one was just a delight to photograph. She was willing to pose, persevere through costume changes, pose again, get kisses from big brother, get moved around from here to there, and all the while POSE. What a sweet little trooper! Feast your eyes on the cuteness…
The R Family in San Antone
It is extra special when I get to do photo shoots in my hometown of San Antonio. And it is extra extra special when that means I get to spend time with the families of long-time friends. That is definitely the case here, as Mrs. R and I have known each other since ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (what?!). And if I do say so myself, their little P is just cute as a smiling button. She sat and posed and totally breezed through her photo op. Plus we had the added treat of a little grandparents’ cameo! Enjoy…
G-Man’s “One in a Minion” Party
This is another one of those families that is incredibly special to me and I am honored to now be a part of their little G-man’s life. If you’ll remember, I did a newborn shoot of this guy and then a 1-year birthday last December. I cannot believe that this guy is now such a grown up 2-year old! Check out his redheaded preciousness (and his minion friends). *Note: I obviously did not take that first photo but I had to include one of me (a.k.a. Auntie RahRah) with the birthday boy.
The H Family’s Hill Country Portrait Session
Well this shoot was just fun. I met the H Family for a portrait session in the Hill Country, one of my very favorite places in the world. And, to my delight, we started out with a little celebration of Movember. Mom, Dad, and all 4 kids were ready to sport their staches (only one was real… but which one?). Then, after a quick shave, we got down to business. The fall colors, the smiles, and the brave kiddos (it was COLD ya’ll) made for a delightful afternoon. Thanks H Family!
