I am thrilled to say that this dear friend of mine has found the man of her dreams. AND he happens to be in Houston, which is convenient for Houstonian friends such as myself. For their engagement shoot, these two chose the little park next to the Menil Gallery which, on that warm day, was chock full of bikes and picnickers and frisbees and dogs. All the activity actually made for nice, relaxed backgrounds – a perfect atmosphere for this relaxed pair. For good measure, we capped off the night at the Black Lab Pub, where we made good use of the phone booth, giant chess set, and colorful doors. I cannot wait to see this happy couple get hitched – the big day is quickly approaching!
Remember my beautiful friend Dorothy from this post? Well she has met the love of her life and is getting married! And, lucky for me, I happened to have a trip to St Louis on the calendar just in time for an engagement shoot in Forest Park. It was so fun to see these two having such fun together (and looking fantastic if I do say so myself). Can’t wait to celebrate with the two of you – it’ll be here before we know it!
Well, graduation is just around the corner. And I have to say that I was selfishly very excited that my friends Andrew and Melinda wanted to have their engagement session done at our school. It is such a gorgeous campus that holds beautiful memories for those of us that have been there for the last few years. It didn’t hurt that Andrew and Melinda were super fun to photograph – we did lots of laughing which (take note!) leads to lovely and natural smiles. I’m so excited for these two sweet friends to tie the knot!
Last week I met up with my friends Blake and Sarah at Forest Park to snap a few pics because… they’re engaged!! Sarah led the way in choosing our locations and I loved her choices (Forest Park is so great). These two are super fun and easy-going, which makes my job a walk in the park (Ha! See what I did there?). Thanks for hanging out with me on election day, friends!
My goal as a photographer is to capture genuine moments and true emotions. Frankly that is not always an easy task during engagement shoots. We’ve all seen the cheesy engagement poses, staring at the ring or gazing deeply into each other’s eyes. But with Luke and Joelle, there was no danger of ending up with run-of-the-mill photos. These two have so much fun together. I can’t count the number of times they made me laugh during our shoot. Their comfort and humor made my job incredibly easy. I can’t wait to see them tie the knot soon!
