Last weekend I met the H Family at Hermann Park for a morning family session. I knew that they have five children and that grandma and grandpa would also be joining us. Now, of course, the number of people was not a problem… but it did make me think that we would only end up with a few usable photos. More people means more variability, especially with so many children in the mix. But this family just defied all my expectations. Our shoot was fun and easy and left us with A LOT of sweet photos. Really a delightful morning. Thanks H Family!

My People :-)
Well 2015 is winding down and, like any year, it has been full of ups and downs. But one of the most wonderful “ups” of my 2015 was the birth of my little nephew. It was so fun to get to include him in my bro and sis-in-law’s family portraits. And of course we were in my very favorite place – the Texas Hill Country. I can’t get enough of these people, these trees, these hills. Glad that they will be coming with me into 2016 🙂
J Family Portraits
I just love meeting friends’ families. And what better excuse to hang out than a lil photo shoot? I was honored to get to take pics of one of my dear friends’ families around their lovely home. Even the dog cooperated – check out that canine eye contact! Thanks for welcoming me into your home, J Family!
B Family at Hermann Park
Remember how this sweet girl turned 4 earlier in the fall? Well this time we had the whole family (including a very grown-up 4-year-old) out at Hermann Park for their family portraits. I could not have asked for more. We had gorgeous weather, a hint of fall color (yay!) and happy smiles. Thanks for spending the morning with me at the park, B Family!
T Family Christmas Pictures
Mrs. T is one of my oldest friends. Check that, she is my oldest friend – approaching 3 decades ya’ll. So it is a delight for me to periodically photograph their family, especially their precious (quickly growing!) little guy. He was cracking me up during this shoot, giving me the sweetest combination of obedient smiles and mischievous grins. Check it out!
The S Family’s sweet Santa Baby!
What better Christmas gift is there than a new baby? The S Family welcomed their son just a few short days before Christmas (you can take a look at their maternity session here) and he was clearly ready to meet the world. Normally, newborn sessions revolve around the baby’s nap time, which is when you are able to capture those sleepy snuggly poses. Baby S, however, was not interested in sleeping and instead chose to show off his personality and his handsome alert eyes. And I have to say, I could not be happier with the result. This is one precious little Christmas gift. Thanks for giving me some time with him, S Family!
Three Generations of the G Family!
Family is a big deal. This is always the case but it becomes especially apparent around the holidays. So it was truly a pleasure and a privilege to get to photograph the entire G Family – three sisters, their parents, husbands, and children. 18 people in all, including the baby who just turned 1. And what a cooperative group! These kiddos were more than willing to pose, smile, and be bossed around by the photographer for an hour. Thanks G Family!
H Family Portraits
Well we kept the mini session fun going with a portrait shoot of the H Family. New day, same park. You just can’t go wrong with this place, and I think the H boys would agree. We played a lot of tag, told a lot of jokes, and did our best to mimic the fountains. All on a gorgeous Saturday morn (the last week or so has been beautiful, am I right?). Thanks for all the smiles, H Fam!
Baby Graham has arrived
Baby Landyn is 6 Months!
If there’s one thing cuter than a precious baby, it is a precious baby in a tutu. And if there is one thing cuter than a precious baby in a tutu, it is a precious baby in a tutu playing with Christmas lights. I’m sure you agree. And Landyn’s parents were all set up for just such a scenario (plus a few others) – overload of cute. You really just need to see for yourself… 🙂
